Biographies
Chee Meng Low
?enjoys a diverse career as a conductor, educator, administrator, and performing on saxophone as an orchestral, chamber, and solo musician. Chee Meng is Assistant Professor of Music and Director of Wind Orchestra at the University of Lethbridge, AB, where he conducts the Wind Orchestra, teaches saxophone performance, conducting and musicianship skills. He is also involved with the Edmonton Saxophone Quartet, U of L Faculty Wind Sextet, Symphonic Winds of NSO Malaysia, and has performed as a soloist, chamber musician and guest conduct in North America, Europe and Asia. Chee Meng Low is an artist-educator for Yamaha Music Ltd.

After beginning his studies in Lethbridge, AB, Nick Sullivan received a fellowship to undertake graduate studies at the University of Victoria. Unable to escape the lure of the West Coast, he returned to B.C. in 2013 to continue his studies at the University of British Columbia, pursuing a Doctor of Musical Arts degree. Currently, Nick is on faculty at the University of Lethbridge teaching the low brass studio, as well as the U of L Conservatory of Music. Nick has a passion for brass chamber music, and has performed in numerous chamber music settings.? He is a founding member of the Aeris Brass quintet, as well as the Southern Alberta Trombone Collective (SATbC). Nick enjoys searching for and commissioning new music, and has a keen interest in vocal works transcribed for low brass.? He regularly performs as a recitalist throughout Western Canada, and has been featured as a soloist with a number of ensembles. Active as an orchestral musician, Nick has worked with groups across Canada, such as the Vancouver Symphony Orchestra and the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra, and presently performs with the Lethbridge Symphony Orchestra. Brad Parker?is Assistant Professor of Piano in the Department of Music at the University of Lethbridge, where he teaches Studio Piano and Musicianship Skills. He has performed extensively as a soloist and collaborative pianist in the United States, Canada, France, Italy, and Haiti.?An active promoter of new music, Brad has debuted several works for piano and various chamber ensembles at the?Banff Chamber Music Festival,?Musique Maintenant?in Paris, as well as the?Women in Music Festival?at the Eastman School of Music.?Prior to joining the faculty at the University of Lethbridge, Brad taught at Charleston Southern University and Erskine College in South Carolina.?Brad completed a Masters and DMA in Piano Performance at the Eastman School of Music in Rochester, New York, with further graduate studies in France at the Paris Conservatory. He studied at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, ON where he earned a Bachelor of Music with Distinction.
